Approval to practise the liberal accounting profession is granted by the Council of Ministers of the Central African Economic Union.
The application file includes:
– A handwritten and stamped application for approval;
– An extract from the criminal record dating back three months;
– A copy of the birth certificate or supplementary judgment in lieu thereof;
– A certified photocopy of the chartered accountancy diploma;
– A certificate of presentation of the original diploma;
– A certificate of nationality, etc.
The CEMAC Commission will notify the applicant of its decision to approve or reject the application.
Reasons must be given for any refusal of approval.
Approval may be withdrawn:
– The disappearance of the approved entity;
– Failure to comply with professional obligations relating to the preparation, audit and certification of annual accounts;
– Interruption in the practice of the profession for a period of two years;
– Fraud or complicity in tax fraud, etc.
