Customs Declaration
The freight forwarder/customs agent issues the Customs Declaration using his own terminal connected to the PAGODE computer system, or at one of the PAGODE terminals the Banalized Clearance unit (UBD) open at the counter.
Customs Processing
The customs declaration is submitted to the Customs “admissibility” unit. Depending on the case, it is accompanied by the following documents:
i. Timber Exports
– The specification sheet;
– D 15 declaration (for PFI outside Douala);
– Certificate of origin or EUR 1 (for exports to the EU);
– Phytosanitary Certificate;
– Stuffing Certificate (for export in containers);
– A request or mandate for TEL.
ii) Exports of other products
– Certificate of origin or EUR1 (for exports to the EU);
– Phytosanitary certificate;
– Purchase order;
– Final invoice;
– Removal certificate (for used personal effects);
– F1, direct debit or DE-SGS;
– Potting certificate (for containerized exports);
– MINCULT authorization (for art exports);
– CITES Convention (for protected species);
– Application or mandate for TEL.
iii) For shipments on provisional declaration
– Stamped application form;
– Phytosanitary certificate;
– Potting certificate (for export in containers);
– Provisional Declaration D6;
– Application or mandate for TEL. On the basis of selection criteria and automatic control of declarations implemented by the PAGODE computer system, and in the light of the custom department’s assessment, the customs officer grants the Good to Ship “Bon à Embar
