To work as a road haulier, you need a transport license issued by order of the local prefect. The license is individual, non-assignable, non-transferable and non-rentable. A carrier holding a road transport license may operate an indefinite number of vehicles in the authorized category.
However, anyone in possession of a license may only put a vehicle on the road once a blue card has been obtained for it. Applications for transport licenses must be submitted to the local land transport department. Cameroon has two types of transport license: ordinary and special.
