They are classified in increasing categories according to the star system from one (1) to five (5).
THREE STAR HOTEL
Hotel entrance: independent if the operation includes a restaurant, bar or nightclub.
Reception hall: fitted out, lounge available to customers, with a minimum surface area (m2) of:
– For the first ten (10) rooms: 25m2;
– From eleven (11) to one hundred (100) rooms: 1.00m2 in addition to the above surface area;
– From one hundred and one (101) to four hundred (400) rooms: 0.65m2 in addition to the areas provided for in the two (2) headings above; etc.
Entrance hall with the following services:
– reception-concierge service;
– Luggage room with separate locker;
– Information and message service;
– Foreign exchange service;
– Aircraft reservation service;
– Soundproofed telephone cabin(s);
– Shop; etc.
Catering:
– Restaurant.
– Air-conditioned bar.
– One (1) meeting room with a capacity of thirty (30) people.
Public toilets: public toilets separating men and women and comprising:
– For women:
. An English-style WC with its own equipment;
. The washbasin area comprising washbasins and their supports: base and foot;
. Washbasin accessories.
– For men:
. An English-style WC with equipment;
. The urinal section with hooks;
. The washbasin section, including basins and their supports: mirror backsplash and all ancillary accessories.

B. ROOMS
Minimum Capacity:
- Number of rooms: thirty (30)
Minimum ceiling height (metre):
– In the accommodation area: 2.50 m;
– In the entrance S.A.S: 2,30 m.
– Surface area of the room not including the shower room, the entrance S.A.S and the storage space: 12 m2 for a room with one (1) bed for two (2) people.
– Minimum size (including WC) in m2: 3.75;
– Pedestal washbasin or washbasin with hot and cold-water mixer;
– Normal bath, with thermostatic hot and cold-water mixer, hand shower;
– Bathroom accessories;
– Hot and cold-water bidet; etc
– English-style WC inside the shower room, with low flush and accessories.
Ventilation and air conditioning:
– By individual or semi-individual low-noise unit.
– Good soundproofing
– Optional colour television (no extra charge)
