The promoter of a crèche or drop-in day-care centre must take all measures to ensure the protection of children against any action or abuse that could undermine their safety, health, development and physical and moral integrity.
It must also take out an insurance policy covering both the children and the premises.
The premises of crèches and day care centres must offer every guarantee of safety, health, tranquillity and leisure, likely to contribute to the harmonious and balanced development of children, and incorporate, as far as possible, measures to take account of children with disabilities.
A partnership agreement must be signed, in accordance with legislation between a crèche or day-care centre and a public or private health facility, with a view to providing medical follow-up and care for children in case of emergency.
The staff who look after the children in the in public or private crèches and day-care centres must be of good character.
