Real estate developers wishing to operate in Cameroon must submit an application for approval including the following documents:
- A financial guarantee certificate in the amount of 2,500,000 (Two million five hundred thousand) CFA francs;
- A professional insurance policy;
- An office location plan and a location certificate drawn up by the territorially competent services of the Ministry responsible for housing;
- An extract from the trade and personal property register dated less than three (03) months;
- A certified copy of the tax registration certificate;
- A certified copy of the tax registration certificate;
- A certified copy of the non-royalty certificate;
- A certificate of non-bankruptcy, if applicable;
- A certified copy of the CNPS registration certificate, if applicable;
- A certified copy of the applicant’s National Identity Card;
- A dated and signed CV of the applicant;
- A copy of the company statutes for the legal entity;
- The company’s bank details or account statements for the last twelve (12) months;
- For foreign developers, provide proof of association with a Cameroonian real estate developer;
- A sworn statement to secure the assistance of qualified personnel as provided for in Article 19 of Decree No. 2007/1419/PM of November 2, 2007. Download the sworn statement template
The said files must be submitted to the Central Mail or to the Regional and Departmental Services of MINHDU.
The processing time is 45 days from the date of submission of the file.
